The role

We are seeking a Senior Member of Technical Staff to join our team as a Research Engineer. This is a full-time, remote position. We are looking for someone who thrives on solving complex technical challenges and is ready to dedicate themselves to building a generational technology company. Please note that our mission requires a high level of commitment, and you should be prepared for occasional late nights and weekend work as we pursue our goals.

Core responsibilities

• Collaborate with academic advisors to integrate state-of-the-art research into our production pipelines.
• Conduct experiments and iterate on computer vision models to optimize performance for video and image processing.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to design, test, and deploy machine learning models through rapid iteration cycles.

Skills and experience

To succeed in this role, you should have a strong background in machine learning and a passion for computational creativity. We require the following qualifications:

• An MS or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with a focus on computer vision.
• At least 5 years of professional experience with Python.
• Proven research experience and familiarity with major academic conferences such as CVPR, ICCV, or NeurIPS.
• Deep knowledge of CNNs, RNNs, LSTMs, and Transformer architectures.
• Hands-on experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow, as well as cloud deployment using AWS.
• Proficiency with databases like Postgres or MySQL.
• Experience with rapid prototyping and experiment tracking systems.
