About the Role

We are looking for a Medical Billing Support Specialist to join our team in a full-time capacity. This is a junior-level position where you will provide essential administrative support to our Billing Department. You will work directly under the guidance of our Director of Billing to ensure our financial operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage incoming communications from patients and insurance payers by opening, sorting, and processing billing documents.
• Serve as a primary point of contact by answering phone calls and resolving patient inquiries according to our established policies.
• Verify the accuracy of insurance payments and perform data analysis to identify and resolve any billing discrepancies.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have a solid foundation in the healthcare space and a commitment to professional service. We are looking for the following qualifications:

• At least one year of experience in medical billing, financial collections, or a similar customer support environment.
• A strong working knowledge of medical terminology, insurance plans, and Explanation of Benefits documents.
• Proficiency with Windows, MS Word, and Excel.
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to handle sensitive interactions with tact and diplomacy.
