We're looking for a Mechanical Engineering Intern to join our team in San Francisco and contribute to the design and development of advanced LIDAR sensors used in autonomous vehicles, drones, and other applications.

Responsibilities

Work alongside hardware engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to review and refine upcoming sensor designs.
Build prototypes, run tests, and troubleshoot issues with cross-functional groups to improve product designs.
Help create test requirements, including detailed plans, protocols, and summary reports.
Carry out tests, gather data, and analyze results to guide internal design choices and enhancements.

Must-haves

Currently enrolled in or holding a degree (MS or BS) in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
Direct experience with mechanical design or product development projects.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as machining, injection molding, and 3D printing.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
English language proficiency.

Nice-to-haves

Familiarity with SolidWorks.
