We're looking for a Mechanical Engineering Intern to join our team in San Francisco and contribute to the design and development of advanced LIDAR sensors used in autonomous vehicles, drones, and other applications.
Responsibilities
- Work alongside hardware engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to review and refine upcoming sensor designs.
- Build prototypes, run tests, and troubleshoot issues with cross-functional groups to improve product designs.
- Help create test requirements, including detailed plans, protocols, and summary reports.
- Carry out tests, gather data, and analyze results to guide internal design choices and enhancements.
Must-haves
- Currently enrolled in or holding a degree (MS or BS) in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Direct experience with mechanical design or product development projects.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as machining, injection molding, and 3D printing.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- English language proficiency.
Nice-to-haves
- Familiarity with SolidWorks.
