At Epirus, we are a high-growth technology company dedicated to developing software-defined, solid-state directed energy systems. Our work focuses on creating power management solutions and counter-electronics effects that optimize efficiency for both defense and commercial sectors. We are constantly pushing the boundaries of high-power microwave technology, and we are looking for passionate individuals to help us bring the capabilities of tomorrow to life today.
What is this role?
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis. This is a mid-level position designed for someone who enjoys taking ownership of projects from initial concept through the full product lifecycle. You will be instrumental in designing, building, and testing mechanical systems, ranging from small electronic packages to large actuated structures.
What will you do?
- Design and construct RF-phased array structures and electronic packages while working closely with our cross-functional product design team.
- Develop cables, harnesses, and interconnects for large-scale electronic assemblies and vehicle-mounted systems.
- Conduct structural and thermal analyses to validate your designs, while also creating detailed CAD models and manufacturing drawings.
What makes you a great fit?
To succeed in this role, you should have an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field. We value candidates who have at least two years of relevant experience and a strong desire to engage in hands-on building and testing. You should be proficient with CAD software and have a solid understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing. Because we work in a highly collaborative and fast-paced environment, excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams are essential. Please note that due to our work with U.S. Government technology, you must be a U.S. citizen, a lawful permanent resident, or otherwise eligible under ITAR regulations.
What's in it for you?
We offer a competitive salary range based on your specific experience level and qualifications. Our compensation structure is as follows:
- Associate Mechanical Engineer (Level I): $83,000.00 to $94,000.00 per year.
- Mechanical Engineer (Level II): $95,000.00 to $115,000.00 per year.
We pride ourselves on a culture that prioritizes our people. You will be joining an agile and innovative team that values mentorship, continuous learning, and a strong sense of belonging. We are committed to fostering an inclusive environment where problem solvers and changemakers can thrive.
