At Waterworks, we have spent over 40 years defining the standard for luxury bath and kitchen experiences. Our hardware, fixtures, and fittings are found in the world's most beautiful hotels and homes, and we take pride in being a key part of those exceptional design moments. We are a collaborative team that values creativity, and we are looking for someone who shares our passion for excellence to help us bring our products to a global audience.
What is this role?
We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our team in a full-time, mid-level capacity. This is a hybrid position that requires you to be onsite at our Danbury, Connecticut office two days per week. In this role, you will play a vital part in our global expansion by conceptualizing, designing, and refining the mechanical components that make our products function perfectly around the world.
What will you do?
- Use SolidWorks to creatively design bath and kitchen products, ensuring that every piece maintains its aesthetic integrity while meeting strict regulatory standards.
- Manage the full lifecycle of mechanical components by handling the design, development, prototyping, and testing phases for new and existing projects.
- Collaborate with our sales team and external partners, including architects, contractors, and building officials, to provide technical support and ensure our products are installed and functioning exactly as intended.
What makes you a great fit?
To succeed in this role, you should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and 3 to 5 years of relevant experience, ideally within a manufacturing or production environment. You are a strong communicator who enjoys working in a team, and you possess a keen eye for detail. We are looking for someone who is highly self-motivated and comfortable working in a fast-paced setting. Your technical toolkit should include:
- Superior proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
- Solid experience with Microsoft Office and technical report writing.
- Familiarity with Enterprise PDM systems.
- Fluency in English.
If you have additional knowledge of plumbing, construction, or rendering capabilities, that is considered a significant plus.
What's in it for you?
We believe our people are our greatest advantage, and we support our team with a comprehensive benefits package designed to help you thrive both at work and at home. Our offerings include:
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance.
- A 401k retirement savings plan.
- A generous paid time off program, which includes vacation, personal, and sick time.
- Flexible hours to help balance your professional and personal life.
- Additional perks such as summer half-days, a dedicated volunteer day, and a floating holiday in addition to federal holidays.
