We are currently seeking a Mechanical Designer to join our team in the United States for a full-time, on-site position.
Key outcomes
- Interpret complex blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and bills of materials to support production.
- Create detailed mechanical sketches, orthographic projections, and 3D models using CAD software.
- Manage engineering documentation by verifying data, maintaining databases, and adhering to established ECN procedures.
- Analyze customer requirements to determine optimal design factors, including part arrangement, shape, and size.
- Record and maintain comprehensive design features, operational requirements, and functional specifications.
- Coordinate with suppliers to source and expedite necessary prototype components and testing equipment.
- Perform design evaluations through simulations and testing to identify and resolve potential mechanical issues.
- Apply technical knowledge of tension, compression, bending forces, and weight, along with GD&T and tolerance stack-up calculations.
- Maintain professional expertise by participating in workshops and staying current with industry publications.
Requirements
- Completion of a CAD-based training program or at least 3 years of relevant practical experience with a proven track record.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Inventor, Solidworks, and Creo.
- Strong understanding of engineering standards and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
