Our team operates with a results-oriented mindset, and we are currently seeking a Senior Marketing Technology Data Engineer to join our Marketing Technology group. This team functions like a startup within our larger organization, focusing on creating advanced analytical experiences and leveraging complex data sets to drive business performance. You will report directly to the VP of Marketing Technology and work in a fully remote capacity.
Key outcomes
- Architect and maintain robust solutions for batch and real-time data, including API integrations and partner data feeds.
- Create repeatable, hardened CI/CD data pipelines and models that support machine learning, reporting, and advanced analytics.
- Design and execute data pipelines that blend multiple sources to support feature engineering and efficient processing.
- Enhance data quality and availability for our enterprise clients by implementing automated monitoring and alerting systems.
- Utilize Google Cloud Platform and orchestration tools like Apache Airflow to deploy data workloads into production environments.
- Sync product features with our broader application to enable seamless end-user configuration.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact solutions while contributing to shared, defensible design decisions.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional experience in data engineering, specifically supporting analytics, product, and data science teams.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and schema design, with practical experience in columnar databases such as Google BigQuery, Snowflake, or Amazon Redshift.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience writing efficient, testable, and readable Python code.
- Proven ability to design end-to-end data pipelines within cloud frameworks like GCP, AWS, or Azure.
- Demonstrated success in building high-availability, low-latency processing solutions.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Pulumi.
- Familiarity with CI/CD practices for data processing, including tools like Docker, dbt, git, and CircleCI.
- Working knowledge of the Google Cloud ecosystem, including Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, and Vertex AI.
Preferred qualifications
- Familiarity with GraphQL.
