What is this role?
We are seeking a Market Surveillance Analyst to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a mid-level position that offers the flexibility of remote work. You will work closely with our Head of Market Surveillance to uphold the highest compliance standards across our global operations, ensuring that our platform remains a safe and trusted environment for virtual asset trading.
What will you do?
- Review and investigate market surveillance alerts according to our established procedures, ensuring that any suspicious activity is identified and remediated promptly.
- Collaborate on the implementation and ongoing maturity of our AML and trade surveillance monitoring systems, including the development of internal procedures.
- Conduct thorough investigations into unusual behavior, prepare detailed reports for our internal financial intelligence unit, and generate regular statistics for management review.
What makes you a great fit?
To succeed in this role, you should have a strong background in financial markets, specifically regarding derivatives. We are looking for candidates who possess the following qualities and skills:
- At least 2 years of experience in trade surveillance, or alternatively, at least 3 years of experience in AML transaction monitoring within a cryptocurrency exchange.
- Proven investigative skills with a track record of identifying patterns of suspicious financial activity.
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
- A demonstrated interest in virtual asset financial services and the ability to work independently.
- Technical familiarity with SQL and Tableau for data extraction and presentation is highly desirable.
- Professional compliance qualifications, such as an ACAMS or ICA Diploma, are considered a plus.
