The Role

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Market Analyst to join our dynamic team on a 3-6 month fixed term contract. As a Market Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in conducting comprehensive market research, analysing trends, and providing actionable insights to inform strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify key trends, opportunities, and threats within the Rail Industry.
• Produce detailed research on new high speed rail routes becoming available
• Provide insights into new companies entering the market.
• Investigate new business opportunities based on your research, including new avenues for the business to consider.
• Monitor industry developments, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to assess their impact on our business and market position.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data, synthesize findings, and develop actionable recommendations to drive business growth.
• Prepare insightful reports, presentations, and dashboards to communicate findings and recommendations to internal stakeholders, including senior management.
• Utilise advanced analytical tools and techniques to interpret data and derive meaningful insights that inform strategic planning and decision-making.
• Stay abreast of emerging market trends, and best practices in market analysis to continuously enhance our analytical capabilities.

Required Competence and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Marketing, or a related field.
• Proven experience in market research, data analysis or business intelligence
• Previous experience in investment banking/VC highly regarded
• Experience within the Rail/Travel industry would be beneficial
• Proficiency in statistical analysis tools and data visualization software (e.g., Excel, Power BI).
• Strong PowerPoint skills and confidence presenting to C suite leaders and board members
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and extract actionable insights.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.
• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and effectively prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
