Fluxon is a global product development company founded by ex-Googlers and startup founders. We partner with fast-growing startups and established technology leaders such as Google, Stripe, and Zapier to create innovative software products. Our work spans the full development cycle, from initial concept and design through implementation and market launch. We are currently seeking an experienced Manual QA Engineer to join our distributed team and contribute to the quality of the solutions we deliver for our clients.
Key outcomes
- Define end-to-end test strategies and processes for complete products, including the selection of appropriate testing tools.
- Plan and perform testing activities to verify that deliverables meet quality standards and specifications.
- Support project teams by tracking, documenting, and reporting on quality initiatives throughout the development lifecycle.
- Investigate reported product quality issues and collaborate with the team to identify and implement resolutions.
- Serve as the primary advocate for product quality within assigned projects.
- Communicate directly with clients to clarify requirements, present demonstrations, and resolve complex technical issues.
- Work independently while learning quickly and maintaining reliable delivery on assigned tasks.
Requirements
- 3 or more years of hands-on experience testing web applications, mobile applications, and APIs.
- 2 or more years of experience establishing testing processes from the ground up and maintaining comprehensive test documentation.
- Strong understanding of client-server architecture and its implications for testing.
- Solid knowledge of testing theory and the software development lifecycle.
- Basic familiarity with CI/CD practices.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts including DNS, TCP/IP, HTTP(S), and SSH.
- Upper-intermediate level of written and spoken English.
- Basic scripting experience in any modern programming language.
- Proactive approach to teamwork with a demonstrated willingness to learn and support test automation efforts.
- Experience with task estimation.
Preferred qualifications
- Broad familiarity with a wide range of technologies and openness to working across different technical stacks.
