The opportunity
We are seeking a Managing Machine Learning Engineer to join our team in Plano, Texas. In this role, you will be at the forefront of applying advanced machine learning and statistical techniques to vehicle telemetry and video data. You will serve as a bridge between technical innovation and product strategy, ensuring that our engineering efforts translate into meaningful, scalable solutions. This is a high-impact role for someone who is deeply technical, passionate about mentoring others, and eager to drive projects that directly influence our company’s success.
A day in the life
- You will design and implement scalable machine learning pipelines, focusing on in-vehicle speech and text interactions while performing R&D to discover new product possibilities.
- You will partner with product owners to define roadmaps and manage feature backlogs, ensuring that our technical resources are aligned with our strategic goals.
- You will foster a culture of engineering excellence by mentoring staff, conducting code reviews, and establishing best practices for CI/CD and model validation.
Who you are
You are a seasoned professional with at least 5 years of experience in machine learning, software engineering, or data science. You possess a strong technical foundation and the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly across all levels of the organization. Your background includes:
- Expertise in Machine Learning, Computer Vision, or Signal Processing.
- Proficiency in writing clean, maintainable Python code and building deep learning models using TensorFlow or PyTorch.
- Experience deploying and monitoring containerized ML models within public cloud environments like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- A proven track record of leading teams, managing performance, and promoting Agile methodologies.
- A collaborative mindset that values diversity and brings empathy to team leadership and talent development.
