We are looking for a Manager of Technology to play an integral role as we continue to scale the business. A natural leader as well as technical expert, you pride yourself on being able to quickly build strong business relationships both internally to support productivity across all business functions, and with vendors to obtain cost effective services. You consistently keep up-to-date with advancements of the field, and deploy these along with business acumen to provide innovative solutions to business needs. This position will be based in our downtown Dallas office and requires a 5-day in office commitment.
The Role: This is a hands on position that will build and lead a team over time. Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, and this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:
- Ensure efficient, reliable technology operations, infrastructure, data management, and security services and protocols are in place
- Provision of end-user services, including help desk and technical support services to deliver an optimal internal customer experience
- Determine the investments necessary to establish and maintain an efficient and secure infrastructure (people and technology) and manage within approved budgets
- Benchmark, analyze, and make recommendations to improve the IT infrastructure and systems to streamline operations, control cost, & align with Company priorities
- Develop and maintain IT related content for:
- disaster recovery plan
- business continuity plan, and/or
- an incident response plan for network intrusions and virus incidents
- Manage system security and data confidentiality. This includes acting as a SOC leader to review and respond to all cyber threats.
- Develop effective strategies to deploy new technology and software, including end user training
- Manage infrastructure resourcing, and mentor and develop team members to increase their expertise and understanding of best practices
- Establish partnerships with IT providers and act as a liaison with vendors supplying IT related products, and negotiate contracts for equipment and services
- Continuously monitor changes or advancements in technology landscape or participate in IT-related projects as assigned
What You Will Bring to the Table:
- Strong understanding of a variety of computer systems, networks, security, telecommunications, databases, and storage systems in a Microsoft dominated environment
- 5 years of IT team leadership experience including management of 3rd party consultants and services
- BSc/BA in computer science, engineering or relevant field preferred
- Hands on experience with Apple products to help support remote associates
- Ability & willingness to function as an individual IT contributor without relying on a team to complete tasks
- Background in designing/developing IT systems and planning IT implementations
- Experience in the following:
- Network engineering and Ubiquiti equipment
- Zendesk help desk platform
- Ring Central Call Center SaaS
- Dynamics
- Knowledge of NIST 2.0
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present a technology vision confidently, and collaborate effectively at all levels
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Data-driven approach to evaluating product-fit and other aspects of performance
- Leader with a high emotional IQ and technical acumen
- Ability to manage time effectively, set and execute clear objectives and priorities
- Commitment to excellence and high standards
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within changing priorities with enthusiasm. A roll-up-the-sleeves attitude and a hands-on approach.
