Manager, Software Engineering at Centro

Basis Technologies is looking for a Software Engineering Manager to lead our cross-functional Collaboration team. We provide an automated, comprehensive ad tech platform that helps agencies and brands manage the full lifecycle of their digital media campaigns, and we are dedicated to fostering an inclusive, high-performing culture where our engineers can do their best work.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of full-stack messaging, task management, and notification features within our platform.
• Act as a platform lead by creating scalable APIs and interfaces that allow other engineering teams to integrate with our collaboration tools.
• Collaborate with product management, design, and quality assurance teams to execute complex projects effectively.
• Uphold high development standards through rigorous code reviews, testing practices, and architectural oversight.
• Mentor direct reports and take an active role in their professional growth and career success.
• Recruit top-tier talent to build and maintain a high-performing, diverse, and inclusive engineering team.
• Champion our commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility in all aspects of team culture and leadership.

Must-haves

• Five to seven years of professional experience, including one to three years in a management role.
• Proven success leading engineering teams through full-stack development cycles from initial concept to production.
• Strong background in web development, specifically with modern front-end frameworks like React.js and back-end technologies such as Ruby on Rails or Java.
• Experience building scalable, maintainable systems.
• Fluency in English.

Nice-to-haves

• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Prior experience developing collaboration tools for SaaS platforms.
• Experience working within the AdTech industry.
• Enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced product development environment.
