At Ridgeline, we are building the industry cloud platform for investment management. Founded by Dave Duffield, who previously co-founded PeopleSoft and Workday, our mission is to bring modern innovation and human-centric design to an industry that has been underserved by legacy technology. As one of our first 400 employees, you will join a fast-growing, people-first company that has been recognized by Forbes as one of America’s Best Startup Employers and by Fast Company as a Best Workplace for Innovators. We are looking for someone who shares our passion for revolutionizing this space while helping us preserve our unique culture.
What is this role?
We are seeking a Manager of Software Engineering to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis within the United States. This is a leadership position for an experienced professional who is ready to guide teams in developing high-quality, creative business applications. You will play a pivotal role in our software development lifecycle, blending technical expertise with a vision for how we can best serve our clients.
What will you do?
- Provide hands-on technical leadership by contributing to the codebase and participating in peer and code reviews to ensure we maintain high standards.
- Manage and mentor a team of engineers, helping them advance their careers through coaching, performance conversations, and alignment with business objectives.
- Collaborate across teams to drive the entire software development process, from initial design and requirements gathering to the implementation of secure, high-performing enterprise applications.
What makes you a great fit?
To succeed in this role, you should have at least 5 years of experience in a hands-on engineering management function. We value candidates who have a strong foundation in computer science and a proven history of architecting products in the cloud. You should be a clear, crisp communicator who can influence others effectively, even without formal authority. Your technical toolkit should include:
- Deep knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and modern architectural patterns.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies.
- Familiarity with Cloud Technologies, specifically AWS and Docker.
- A high level of proficiency in English.
What's in it for you?
We want our team members to feel valued and supported as they grow their careers with us. When you join Ridgeline, you will have access to the following benefits:
- Participation in our Company Stock Plan.
- Unlimited vacation time to ensure you stay refreshed.
- Comprehensive medical insurance plans at no cost to the employee.
