About the Role
We are seeking a Manager, Software Engineering to join us in a full-time, on-site capacity. In this position, you will provide technical leadership to teams focused on creating high-quality business applications. You will play a vital role in our software development lifecycle, helping to shape our product vision while preserving the unique culture that defines our ambitious startup.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on leadership by contributing to the codebase, participating in code reviews, and guiding the design of secure, high-performing enterprise applications.
- Coach and mentor engineers to help them develop new skills, advance their careers, and align their personal goals with our broader business objectives.
- Collaborate across teams to drive the software development process, utilizing agile methodologies to deliver innovative solutions in the cloud.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you should possess a strong foundation in both technical architecture and team leadership. We are looking for the following qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience in a hands-on software engineering management role, specifically with a history of architecting products in the cloud.
- A degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or a related field.
- Deep knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and modern architectural patterns.
- Experience working with AWS and Docker is highly valued.
- The ability to communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels and lead teams with or without formal authority.
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
