Manager, Software Engineer - Frontend at Agiloft

Key outcomes

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of software engineers, including setting performance expectations, conducting regular check-ins, and supporting career development.
• Oversee the design and development of frontend frameworks, components, and applications, ensuring they meet high standards for performance, scalability, and security.
• Serve as a Scrum Master to foster an agile development culture and coordinate the development backlog in partnership with the Product Owner.
• Translate complex business requirements into clear technical specifications for your team.
• Ensure all solutions are well-documented and adhere to our quality frameworks and security policies.
• Balance the delivery of new features with the ongoing maintenance of existing platform components.
• Drive innovation by generating new ideas and developing prototypes to improve our development processes and codebase.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Over 8 years of experience in frontend application development for commercial software.
• At least 4 years of experience in a leadership role managing development teams.
• Current Scrum Master certification.
• Extensive technical proficiency with JavaScript, TypeScript, and modern frameworks like Vue.js and React.
• Strong experience with CI/CD practices and frontend architectural patterns for SaaS applications on AWS or Azure.
• Demonstrated ability to utilize AI tools within the software development lifecycle, such as GitHub Copilot or JetBrains AI Assistant.
• Proven experience achieving compliance with accessibility standards like WCAG.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical needs to non-technical stakeholders.
• A proactive, collaborative mindset with strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities.

Preferred qualifications

• Ten or more years of hands-on frontend development experience for enterprise applications.
• Three or more years of experience developing frontend applications for SaaS platforms specifically on AWS.
• Two or more years of experience managing applications within CI/CD workflows.
• Knowledge of web application security frameworks and experience working in security-compliant environments such as SOC2 Type 2 or ISO27001.
• Background in performance optimization for applications utilizing SQL databases.
