The opportunity

As a Software Development Manager, you will lead the teams responsible for building and supporting the cutting-edge applications that drive our business forward. This role is designed for a player-coach who is just as comfortable diving into design discussions as they are guiding the professional growth of their engineers. You will sit at the intersection of product and operations, ensuring that our cloud-native solutions remain robust, scalable, and operationally excellent. You will be instrumental in shaping our engineering culture, setting high standards for quality, and fostering an environment where both our products and our people can thrive.

A day in the life

• You will mentor and coach your developers, providing continuous feedback and clear goal setting to help them reach their full potential.
• You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product and Operations, to deliver complex business outcomes through high-quality software.
• You will lead by example in implementing scalable processes, ensuring our team follows best practices in design, testing, and code reviews while maintaining our high standards for production deployments.

Who you are

You are a seasoned leader with a strong foundation in software engineering and a passion for building high-performing teams. You communicate clearly and possess the ability to capitalize on the unique strengths of every team member. Your background includes:

• Over 10 years of professional experience in software development, with at least 3 to 4 years specifically in a management role.
• More than 8 years of hands-on experience in full-stack development using Python, Golang, NodeJS, or Java, along with proficiency in DevOps tools.
• Deep expertise in designing cloud-native solutions and service-oriented applications on platforms like AWS, Azure, GCP, or Kubernetes.
• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, though extensive relevant experience may be considered as a substitute.
• Fluency in English to facilitate collaboration across our global, distributed teams.
