Manager, Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) at Evidation

We are looking for an experienced Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) Manager to join our team on a full-time basis. At Evidation, we are dedicated to transforming healthcare by measuring and improving health in everyday life. Our platform connects with millions of individuals to gather real-world data, which we then analyze using machine learning to provide actionable health insights. Since our founding in 2012, we have been committed to a human-centered approach that prioritizes privacy and scale. In this remote-friendly role, you will lead our efforts to standardize test automation, bridging the gap between technical architecture and strategic team management to ensure we deliver high-quality products.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of our quality and test automation strategy, ensuring that our technical architecture supports the needs of the entire organization.
• Lead and mentor a team of SDETs, fostering a culture of continuous professional growth while maintaining high performance through regular feedback.
• Maintain a hands-on technical presence by contributing to the development and troubleshooting of automation scripts and frameworks alongside your team.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 8 years of experience in software engineering with a strong focus on test automation for both consumer and enterprise applications, including 5 or more years in a leadership role.
• Expertise in automation methodologies and tools, with proficiency in Ruby or JavaScript.
• Significant experience building automation solutions across mobile, browser, API, and cloud-based environments.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders in a fast-paced, remote environment.
• Familiarity with OWASP standards and ISO/SOC2 compliance is considered a plus.

What we offer

The base salary range for this position is $129,400 to $174,000, plus bonus, equity, and benefits. We are proud to offer a flexible remote work environment that allows you to contribute from anywhere.
