We are Basis Technologies, a company dedicated to automating digital media operations for top-tier agencies and brands through our comprehensive ad tech platform. We are looking for a Manager of Software Engineering to join our remote team in the U.S. or Canada to lead the development of our critical authentication and authorization systems.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing engineering team by actively managing direct reports and recruiting new talent.
- Collaborate closely with Product Management, QA, and Design teams to ensure efficient project execution and delivery.
- Design, implement, and maintain secure authentication and authorization systems, including the use of OAuth 2.0.
- Foster an inclusive, positive, and high-performing team culture that values diverse perspectives and open communication.
- Define and uphold rigorous standards for code quality, development efficiency, and system reliability.
- Champion diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility within your team and the broader organization.
Must-haves
- Five to seven years of professional experience in software engineering, with at least one to two years in a management role.
- Strong proficiency in Java or similar languages, as well as Ruby or Python.
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Proven track record of managing the full development lifecycle within a fast-paced environment.
- Deep understanding of authentication and authorization protocols, specifically OAuth 2.0.
- Excellent product and design intuition.
- Fluency in English.
