What you'll be doing
- Lead and mentor a high-performing team of data scientists while fostering a collaborative and innovative culture.
- Stay hands-on with technical tasks, including developing predictive models, refining algorithms, and managing reporting requirements.
- Oversee the technical design of models and maintain our data lakehouse pipelines to ensure high data quality and actionable insights for our users.
What you'll bring
To be successful in this role, you should possess a strong background in data science or engineering and a passion for leading technical teams. We are looking for the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
- Proven experience in an individual contributor role focused on machine learning, predictive modeling, or data engineering.
- Expert-level proficiency in SQL and Python, along with experience using AWS machine learning technologies like Sagemaker.
- Experience working with data lakehouse architectures and distributed data processing patterns.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- A track record of unblocking projects and guiding teams through the software development lifecycle.
