We are looking for a Manager Field Service Engineer to join our team on a full-time, remote basis. At Sakura we advance cancer diagnostics by delivering fully automated anatomic pathology solutions that help pathology professionals worldwide provide faster, more accurate diagnoses and improve treatment outcomes for patients. In this role you will lead our Field Service Engineers across Northern Germany and Poland, ensuring technical excellence, operational efficiency, and a consistently high standard of customer support while reporting to the Senior Manager Technical Support.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the daily activities of Field Service Engineers in Northern Germany and Poland to deliver high-quality technical support and maintain operational excellence.
- Translate company and departmental strategy into clear operational plans while collaborating with cross-functional teams to support an integrated customer experience.
- Act as a mentor and coach, fostering a culture of trust, accountability, and continuous development so that team members can perform, grow, and contribute to shared goals.
Requirements
- Higher education degree with a technical or engineering specialization.
- At least five years of experience leading a team of engineers, including proven success in people management, coaching, and team development.
- Strong commercial awareness together with stakeholder management and relationship-building skills, supported by excellent communication, influencing, and negotiation abilities.
- Robust organizational and performance-management capabilities, plus an understanding of industry regulations such as IVDR and ISO 13485 and the ability to embed them into compliant processes and quality standards.
- Fluency in English and proficiency in German; experience in the medical device, diagnostics, or another regulated industry is preferred.
- Strategic yet hands-on mindset, willingness to travel up to 50 percent of working time, and the ability to work effectively across teams to achieve aligned business objectives.
