Manager, Engineering at Stavvy

At Stavvy, we are on a mission to simplify complex financial and legal transactions, making them safer and more accessible for everyone. We empower lenders and title companies to facilitate seamless remote closings and digital document management. As a Manager, Engineering, you will lead a full-stack team of eight engineers dedicated to our core digital signing platform. This is a full-time, remote position where you will report to a Senior Engineering Manager and help us drive the paperless revolution. We are looking for a leader who can bridge the gap between business requirements and technical execution while fostering the professional growth of our talented team.

Responsibilities

• Provide clear direction and purpose to your engineering team while acting as a servant leader to remove obstacles and ensure consistent progress.
• Facilitate collaborative technical discussions and resolve conflicts to reach timely, effective solutions for our product.
• Nurture a positive team culture and prioritize the individual career development and morale of every engineer on your team.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of professional experience in full-stack software development.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in people management.
• Proven proficiency in writing production-ready code using Python or Java.
• Strong ability to translate complex product requirements into technical specifications and guide the team through the development lifecycle.
• Excellent organizational skills and a desire to act as a player-coach who mentors others.
• Experience in the mortgage, notary, or loan industry is considered a significant asset.

What we offer
