The role

We are seeking a Manager, Engineering – Web/Applications to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a remote position open to candidates anywhere. In this role, you will lead a web front-end engineering team, guiding them through the design and implementation of complex solutions. You will be responsible for driving the technical strategy of our web platform, which serves as a critical engine for our customer acquisition and growth. We are looking for an experienced leader who can balance technical craftsmanship with high-level project management to ensure we deliver best-in-class experiences for our customers.

Core responsibilities

• Lead your team to drive projects and initiatives from initial formulation through design and final implementation.
• Set the strategic direction for the team while remaining accountable for all plans, deliverables, and the resolution of technical roadblocks.
• Foster a healthy, diverse team culture by actively hiring, mentoring, and coaching engineers to reach their full potential.

Skills and experience

To be successful in this role, you should possess a strong background in software development and technical leadership. We require the following qualifications:

• 8 to 12+ years of software development experience within an Agile environment.
• At least 8 years of proficiency with JavaScript frameworks such as React, Vue, or Angular.
• 3 to 5+ years of experience leading, coaching, and mentoring web development teams.
• Deep knowledge of the web ecosystem, including web performance optimization and JavaScript best practices.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and testing frameworks like Jasmine, Karma, or Selenium.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to write technical documentation suitable for regulatory authorities.
• Strong understanding of software design patterns and experience managing customer-facing applications at scale.
