Manager, Engineering – Web/Applications at BrightInsight

The role

We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our Web and Applications team. This is a full-time, remote position suitable for someone with a strong background in infrastructure and web technologies. You will play a critical role in our hyper-growth phase, managing a scrum team focused on creating exceptional customer journeys and driving our web platform strategy. We need a leader who combines technical craftsmanship with a commitment to high-quality engineering practices and key performance indicators.

Core responsibilities

• Lead your team through the full project lifecycle, from initial idea formulation and design to final implementation.
• Collaborate closely with product, UX, and analytics teams to set strategy, manage deliverables, and resolve complex technical dependencies.
• Mentor and grow a diverse team of engineers while advocating for best-in-class design patterns, frameworks, and architectural values.

Skills and experience

• Eight to twelve years of software development experience in an Agile environment, including at least three to five years in a leadership or coaching role.
• Deep proficiency with JavaScript frameworks such as React, Vue, or Angular.
• Strong technical foundation in web performance optimization, CI/CD pipelines, and modern tooling like GitHub, Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Proven ability to manage customer-facing applications with a focus on reliability, resiliency, and test-driven development.
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to write technical documentation suitable for submission to regulatory authorities.
• Experience with API integrations, GRPC, REST, and database design is essential.
