What you bring
We are looking for a Manager, Engineering - Full Stack to guide a growing team of software engineers on a Full Time, Remote basis. In this role you will combine hands-on technical work with people leadership, ensuring our internal web applications continue to set the standard for precision heart care. You will bring Manager experience and a background that spans Software Engineering, Technology, AI, Project Management, Cloud Architecture, CI/CD Pipelines, Testing, UI, Databases, Agile Methodologies, UX, JavaScript, and Python. Three core responsibilities define the position:
- Deliver high-quality software releases on schedule by applying strong project-management practices and cross-functional coordination.
- Provide technical direction on cloud architecture, CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, UI frameworks, and databases while contributing code when needed.
- Mentor and develop 3–5 direct reports, fostering career growth and building engineering culture in a fast-moving environment.

Requirements
To succeed you will need at least a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, five or more years of full-stack engineering experience in a software company, and two or more years of management experience that includes hiring and forming new teams. You should have deep knowledge of testing, CI/CD, DevOps, and Agile methodologies, plus hands-on experience building web interfaces that follow modern UI/UX practices. Familiarity with cloud infrastructure such as Amazon Web Services, data-driven application architecture, and advanced proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, and Python are essential. Strong communication and collaboration skills will help you work effectively with Product Management, Strategy, Operations, Regulatory, and UX partners. Experience with Vue.js, Django, SQL or NoSQL databases, or work in medical or other regulated industries will help you stand out.
What we offer
The base salary range for this role is $141,000 to $215,025 (outside the San Francisco Bay Area) or $159,000 to $242,475 (within the San Francisco Bay Area). In addition, we support a fully Remote work arrangement that lets you contribute from anywhere while collaborating with colleagues around the world.
