The role
We are hiring a Manager, Engineering - Customer & Application on a full-time basis. The role combines hands-on technical work with people leadership and requires a manager-level professional who remains comfortable writing and reviewing code.
Core responsibilities
- Directly manage software engineers while guiding a delivery team that includes SDETs, a Product Owner, and a Security partner, ensuring roadmap delivery from initial solutioning through validation and legacy-platform migrations.
- Partner with Product Management to balance business outcomes, technical health, and maintainability while driving Agile process adoption and SDLC improvements across teams.
- Expand the team’s use of AI coding tools, pilot new solutions that measurably increase engineer productivity, and coordinate work with Platform, Security, and other shared-services groups.
Skills and experience
- Ten or more years of software-engineering experience and at least four years managing engineers, with fluency in CI/CD pipelines and continued comfort working in code.
- Hands-on production experience with AI coding tools and informed perspectives on applying AI within regulated financial services.
- Strong full-stack background that includes Java, Ruby, JavaScript, or React, plus experience designing and operating microservice architectures on AWS or GCP.
- Proven ability to lead teams that rely on tight cross-team coordination and high-quality delivery, along with demonstrated success mentoring engineers and fostering inclusive, psychologically safe team cultures.
- Fluency with Agile delivery methods, preferably scaled frameworks such as SAFe; prior experience serving as an Agile Scrum Master or Team Coach on a cross-functional team is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and a track record of equitable calibration, conflict resolution, and sponsorship of underrepresented team members.
- English fluency is required.

The salary range for this role is $148,000–$220,000 USD. In addition to base pay, eligible employees may receive performance-based bonuses and equity grants. We offer a 401(k) matching program, medical, dental, and vision coverage, generous paid time off, tuition reimbursement, and a fully remote work environment.
