We are looking for a dedicated Manager, Cyber Threat Defence to join our team on a full-time basis in Canada. Teck is a premier Canadian resource company committed to the responsible production of metals that are vital for global development and the energy transition. We operate world-class copper and zinc mines and maintain a leading growth portfolio. In this hybrid role, you will report to the Director of Cyber Security and CISO, leading our security operations and incident response teams to protect our digital infrastructure and information assets.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of cybersecurity professionals while fostering a culture of safety and effective risk management.
- Oversee our cyber incident response planning and readiness, including acting as incident commander during critical situations and collaborating with third-party providers.
- Design and implement security strategies, standards, and automated processes to transition our security stack toward a more programmable and efficient model.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership capacity.
- Professional certifications such as CISSP or CISM are required.
- Deep expertise in security operations, including threat intelligence, incident response, and offensive security initiatives.
- Proven ability to solve complex security challenges through programming, automation, and the application of development lifecycles.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate technical security concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
- A collaborative leadership style characterized by a growth mindset and a commitment to inclusive team building.
