We are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis at one of our locations in the United States. As a subsidiary of the largest private real estate firm in the Washington, D.C. area, the B. F. Saul Company Hospitality Group has a rich history spanning over 130 years. We currently manage a diverse portfolio of more than 20 business-class hotels, including notable properties like The Hay-Adams and The Watermark Hotel, all supported by a dedicated team of over 1,000 hospitality professionals.
Responsibilities
- Maintain property assets by assisting the Chief Engineer with routine inspections, equipment repairs, and preventative maintenance programs that support the financial health of our hotels.
- Provide exceptional service to our guests by responding to their requests in a friendly manner and demonstrating a deep knowledge of our property and guest room maintenance.
- Ensure a safe working environment by strictly adhering to all brand, local, state, and federal regulations while maintaining clean workspaces and following emergency procedures.
Requirements
To be successful in this mid-level role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- A High School diploma or GED is required.
- We prefer candidates with at least 2 years of experience in maintenance, though we value those who are detail-oriented and thrive in fast-paced environments.
- Possession of CPO and appliance repair certifications is highly desired, or you must demonstrate the ability to obtain these certifications as needed.
- The physical capacity to regularly push, pull, and lift up to 100 pounds throughout your shift.
