What is this role?

We are seeking a Senior Machine Learning Researcher to join us on a full-time, on-site basis. This is a high-impact position for someone who wants to move beyond incremental research and build technology that makes a tangible difference in real-world environments. Because of our work with federal contracts, you must be a US citizen and eligible for a Secret security clearance, though an active Top Secret clearance is strongly preferred.

What will you do?

• Lead the end-to-end development, iterative improvement, and optimization of sophisticated computer vision algorithms and models.
• Collaborate closely with our software engineers, product managers, and fellow data scientists to define project requirements and deliver high-performance AI solutions.
• Stay at the forefront of the field by conducting research on the latest breakthroughs in machine learning and identifying how those advancements can be applied to our defense technology.

• An MS or PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or a related field.
• Deep expertise in designing, training, and deploying state-of-the-art deep learning models using frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX.
• Comprehensive experience with computer vision, object detection, multimodal sensor fusion, and handling out-of-distribution data.
• A strong mathematical foundation, particularly in probability theory.
• A proven ability to contribute novel research, ideally supported by a publication record.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative spirit.
