About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join us on a full-time basis. In this role, you will take the lead on developing and refining our data-driven products, guiding them through the entire lifecycle from initial research to production deployment. You will leverage your expertise in distributed systems and machine learning to build scalable solutions while mentoring others and helping to shape our technical roadmap.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify strategic opportunities within the NLP landscape to ensure Primer remains a leader in the field.
- Design and implement robust distributed architectures and libraries that have a significant impact across the entire organization.
- Work with massive datasets to integrate advanced features like event detection, summarization, entity recognition, and multilingual NLP into our products.
Requirements
- A degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of experience working as a backend software engineer with a focus on deploying machine learning functionality.
- Deep proficiency in data structures and algorithms, along with hands-on experience using tools such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, and Numpy.
- Proven ability to develop APIs using Python or Golang.
- Strong communication skills and a genuine enthusiasm for teaching and collaborative learning.
Location
This position is an on-site role based in the United States, with opportunities available in San Francisco, California, or the Washington, DC area.
Compensation and Benefits
The annual cash compensation for this position ranges from US$225,000 to US$250,000, depending on your specific experience and skills. We also provide a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your well-being, including:
