Machine Learning Engineer at Fairmatic

Our predictive risk models are built on a foundation of 200 billion miles of driving data, and our team is backed by over $88 million in funding from industry innovators and serial entrepreneurs. We are looking for a Machine Learning Engineer to join our global, collaborative team in India on a full-time, hybrid basis.

Responsibilities

• Develop, train, and operationalize machine learning models that integrate directly into our products.
• Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of GenAI services, from initial ideation and experimentation to deployment and optimization.
• Ensure high data quality by defining acquisition parameters and identifying new features.
• Analyze data to uncover patterns or anomalies that impact model performance.
• Collaborate with data scientists to create new algorithms and systems that improve our predictive capabilities.
• Build platforms that enable rapid, iterative experimentation and model deployment.
• Develop APIs and machine learning libraries to facilitate seamless service integration.
• Maintain high engineering standards by writing well-tested, reusable code.

Must-haves

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or Software Engineering.
• At least 3 years of experience building and maintaining production-grade, scalable machine learning systems.
• Proficiency in Python, including experience with frameworks like scikit-learn and Pandas.
• Hands-on experience with cloud frameworks such as AWS Sagemaker.
• Strong SQL skills for data exploration and analysis.
• A solid understanding of HTTP APIs and working within containerized cloud environments.
• A strong grasp of mathematics, statistics, probability, and machine learning algorithms.
• Excellent communication skills in English and the ability to work independently within a global, agile team.
