We are looking for a passionate Junior Machine Learning Engineer to join our team in either San Francisco or New York City. You will play a key role in shaping our platform through ethical machine learning, ensuring that our technology fosters healthy interactions and strengthens local communities.
What you'll be doing
- Develop and refine machine learning products that enhance creativity, discovery, and user engagement across our platform.
- Design and implement personalized content and recommendation systems that serve millions of daily users.
- Execute and analyze live experiments to continuously improve model quality while collaborating closely with our product and data science teams.
What you'll bring
- A Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Applied Math, Statistics, or a related field, with an expected graduation date between 2024 and Summer 2025.
- A solid grasp of machine learning fundamentals, including deep learning, recommender systems, and knowledge graphs.
- Prior internship experience in machine learning engineering, ideally within social networking or e-commerce environments.
- Proficiency in Python or Java, along with strong communication and collaboration skills.
- A genuine passion for our mission to empower local communities.
- Bonus points for industry experience applying machine learning at scale.
What you'll get
We offer a competitive compensation package with a starting salary range of $150,000 to $170,000 per year. Additionally, you will receive a meaningful equity grant with quarterly vesting.
