- Design, research, and implement advanced machine learning algorithms for deployment on both self-driving vehicles and datacenter infrastructure.
- Create deep learning models focused on autonomy applications, including object detection, segmentation, classification, and behavior prediction.
- Build and manage data processing pipelines while identifying the necessary datasets for model training.
- Maintain high software standards by participating in code reviews, automated testing, and continuous integration processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges that arise during customer deployments or real-world vehicle testing.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven professional experience in machine learning engineering, specifically with computer vision models or other complex applications like LLMs.
- Practical experience training, fine-tuning, and deploying deep learning models in production environments.
- Strong proficiency in software engineering using Python or C++.
- A solid analytical foundation in probability, geometry, and linear algebra.
- Hands-on experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX.
Preferred qualifications
- Industry experience working with robotics, autonomy, or self-driving vehicle systems, particularly regarding low-latency requirements.
- Background in building models using sensor data from radar, lidar, or cameras.
- Experience developing multi-modal models.
- A strong academic history, potentially supported by publications in machine learning.
- Expertise in model optimization and conversion for production, such as using TensorRT or ONNX, or deploying models on specialized hardware like Jetson.
- Leadership potential to guide the machine learning team as we continue to grow.
Compensation
This position offers a hybrid work environment, allowing for flexibility between remote and in-office collaboration.
