We are looking for a highly skilled Machine Learning Backend Engineer to join a growing, fast-paced team building intelligent automation tools for the healthcare industry. This is a fully remote opportunity focused on leveraging AI and backend engineering to streamline complex workflows and unlock efficiency at scale. Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain backend systems using Python, Django, and RESTful APIsBuild and optimize machine learning pipelines for healthcare data processing and automationDevelop AI-powered solutions for document processing, OCR, and data extraction from structured and unstructured sourcesImplement web automation using Selenium/Python to interact with third-party portals and servicesCollaborate with frontend engineers using React/Vue to deliver full-stack solutionsEnsure performance, scalability, and reliability of backend servicesDeploy and maintain ML models in production environmentsWork with PostgreSQL, WebSockets, and AWS Lambda for data storage and processingApply prompt engineering techniques to fine-tune and optimize large language models (LLMs)Participate in Agile ceremonies, conduct code reviews, write tests, and maintain documentationRequirements:
3+ years of full-stack development experience, with a focus on backend engineeringStrong proficiency in Python, Django, and ReactExperience implementing and deploying machine learning models in productionProficiency in NLP, OCR, and working with LLMs (e.g., GPT)Experience with Selenium/Python for web automationFamiliarity with EDI healthcare formats (837, 835, 270/271) is a strong plusSolid understanding of PostgreSQL, WebSocket, and AWS LambdaExperience with Docker, LocalStack, and container-based developmentStrong knowledge of version control using GitExcellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skillsExperience in Agile development environmentsSelf-starter mindset with the ability to work independently in a distributed teamWhy join us?
