What you bring

As a Senior Machine Learning Backend Engineer, you will play a vital role in our full-time, remote team. You will be responsible for bridging the gap between sophisticated machine learning models and robust backend infrastructure. Your daily work will involve the following core responsibilities:

• Designing and maintaining scalable backend systems using Python and Django.
• Building and optimizing machine learning pipelines specifically tailored for healthcare data processing.
• Developing AI-driven solutions for OCR and document processing to extract data from various sources.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have at least three years of experience in full-stack development with a heavy emphasis on backend engineering. We look for candidates who are proficient in Python, Django, and React, and who have practical experience deploying machine learning models into production environments. You should be comfortable working with PostgreSQL, AWS Lambda, and Docker. A strong grasp of NLP, LLMs, and web automation tools like Selenium is essential. We value individuals who are self-starters, possess excellent communication skills, and are comfortable working within an Agile framework. Proficiency in English is required, and familiarity with EDI healthcare formats is considered a significant advantage.
