Are you ready to help us build a world empowered by autonomy? At Venti Technologies, we are a dedicated team of innovators, tinkerers, and problem-solvers working to transform the future of goods transportation. Since our launch in 2018, we have become a leader in safe-speed autonomous logistics systems by utilizing deep learning and theoretically-grounded algorithms to improve safety and efficiency. With operations spanning the U.S. and Asia, including our Asian headquarters in Singapore, we are looking for passionate individuals to help us deploy autonomous systems at scale.
What you bring
We are seeking a Localization and Mapping Research Scientist Intern to join our team in Singapore for an internship. This role is perfect for a student who is eager to apply their knowledge of Engineering, Robotics, and Algorithms to real-world challenges. You will work within a Linux environment using C++ and Python to advance our autonomous vehicle technology. Your core responsibilities will include:
- Staying up to date with state-of-the-art localization algorithms, specifically focusing on LiDAR and Visual-Inertial Odometry.
- Assisting in the development of mapping and localization algorithms, such as those based on EKF and other filtering techniques, to build efficient odometry systems.
- Testing various methods, evaluating performance, and identifying creative solutions to complex technical problems.
Requirements
We are looking for undergraduate or master's students in Computer Science, Robotics, or related fields who possess a strong foundation in Machine Learning and ROS. You should be a flexible problem-solver with a deep understanding of probabilistic robotics and SLAM techniques, including feature extraction and semantic segmentation. Proficiency in C++ and Python is essential, as is experience with sensor-based research. Candidates who have worked with real-world robotics deployment, sensor calibration, or GPU programming will stand out to our team. You must be comfortable working in a Linux environment and possess a strong grasp of object-oriented programming.
What we offer
We provide a collaborative and international working environment where you can grow your skills alongside industry experts. Our team values a fantastic culture and offers the following:
- Flexible working arrangements to support your professional development.
- Exposure to cutting-edge research in autonomous logistics.
- The opportunity to work in a world-class, global team environment.
How to Apply
If you are excited about the future of robotics and want to contribute to our mission of creating a greener and safer world, we would love to hear from you. Please reach out to our team to submit your application and start your journey with Venti Technologies.
