Are you ready to help us shape a world empowered by autonomy? At Venti Technologies, we are building robotic vehicles designed to improve logistics safety, create a greener planet, and enhance human lives. Since our launch in 2018, we have established ourselves as a leader in safe-speed autonomous logistics systems. We combine rigorous mathematics, deep learning, and theoretically-grounded algorithms to deliver proven value to our customers. As we continue to grow our operations across the U.S. and Asia, we are looking for passionate problem-solvers to join our international team and help us bring our vision of fleet-level autonomous deployment to life.
What you bring
We are looking for a student to join our team as a Localization and Mapping Research Scientist Intern at our Singapore office. This internship is an excellent opportunity to work with cutting-edge robotics engineering and algorithms while gaining hands-on experience in a professional environment. Your primary responsibilities will include the following:
- Staying current with state-of-the-art localization algorithms, with a specific focus on LiDAR and Visual-Inertial Odometry.
- Assisting in the development and implementation of localization and mapping algorithms, such as those based on EKF and other filtering techniques, to create highly efficient odometry systems for autonomous ground vehicles.
- Conducting rigorous testing of various methods, evaluating performance, identifying technical challenges, and proposing innovative solutions.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you should be an undergraduate or master's student in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field. We value candidates who possess a strong grasp of localization techniques, including SLAM, feature extraction, and semantic segmentation. You should have practical experience with probabilistic robotics and research involving sensors. Proficiency in C++ and Python within a Linux environment is essential. We are looking for someone who is a flexible problem-solver. While not required, having experience with ROS, machine learning, sensor calibration, or GPU programming will certainly set your application apart.
What we offer
We believe in fostering a supportive and innovative workplace where talent is rewarded. When you join our team, you can look forward to the following:
- A fantastic company culture that encourages growth and collaboration.
- Flexible working arrangements to help you balance your professional and personal commitments.
- An engaging and diverse international working environment.
How to Apply
If you are excited about the future of autonomous logistics and want to contribute to our mission, we would love to hear from you. Please submit your application to be considered for this internship, and we look forward to reviewing your background and discussing how you can contribute to our research efforts.
