LLM Platform Engineer Lead at Kayzen

What you bring

As our LLM Platform Engineer Lead, you will operate in a full-time capacity, working remotely from anywhere in the world. You will be responsible for evangelizing AI across the company while creating the frameworks and workflows that allow our teams to ship intelligent features quickly and safely. Your core focus will be on developer velocity and production readiness rather than model training. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Designing and building internal AI frameworks, SDKs, and shared libraries to streamline development.
• Establishing standardized patterns for utilizing LLMs, agents, and embeddings while defining best practices for cost control and reliability.
• Building reusable components for prompt management, observability, and safety to ensure our AI features remain robust in production.

Requirements

We are looking for a candidate who possesses a strong startup mindset, characterized by a bias for action and an ability to translate complex AI concepts into simple, reusable abstractions. You should have extensive experience with LLM APIs, RAG pipelines, vector databases, and AI orchestration frameworks. Proficiency in Python is essential, as is a deep understanding of system design, APIs, and developer tooling. You should have a proven track record of shipping LLM-powered features to production and iterating based on real-world feedback. We value individuals who think in terms of leverage and scalability, and you should be comfortable working with cloud infrastructure, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines. A background in platform engineering or developer enablement is highly beneficial.
