We leverage our deep technical expertise in system architecture, graphics, multimedia, and web engines to support clients across diverse sectors, including automotive, mobile, and smart TV industries. We are currently searching for a passionate and technically skilled Senior Linux Kernel Developer to join our expanding engineering team in a fully remote capacity.
Key outcomes
- Develop, integrate, validate, and deploy Linux board support packages and kernel device drivers.
- Collaborate directly with the mainline Linux community to merge code upstream.
- Configure kernels and troubleshoot complex functional and performance issues for our clients.
- Engage with clients to discuss core system technologies and advocate for our open source leadership.
- Analyze technical challenges and design effective solutions that utilize open source best practices.
- Define project scopes while balancing client needs, technical constraints, and available resources.
- Contribute publicly to open source projects to maintain our position at the forefront of the industry.
Requirements
- Significant experience in Linux Kernel and kernel module development.
- Strong proficiency in Linux driver development, cross-compiling, and porting.
- Deep understanding of open source development methodologies and a history of contributions to the Linux Kernel community.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Proven ability to work effectively and communicate within a fully distributed, online team environment.
- Strong self-learning capabilities to master our service offerings, project delivery lifecycles, and technical domains.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with Linux distribution package development or management, specifically with Debian or Yocto.
- Exposure to Continuous Integration environments and tools such as Jenkins or kernelci.org.
