As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Senior Linux Engineer to join our IT Operations team. You will play a vital role in maintaining the high availability of our infrastructure, which supports business units and customers across the globe. Key outcomes
- Enhance our infrastructure continuously, managing everything from bare metal and hypervisors to virtual machines and containers.
- Apply advanced techniques for database administration, performance tuning, and management.
- Perform root cause analysis across complex technology stacks and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Advance our monitoring and observability capabilities to ensure peak performance.
- Modernize our administrative processes and lead initiatives to evaluate and adopt new technologies.
- Oversee the production deployment of new services, including build processes and business continuity planning.
- Create scripts and standardized procedures to support data management, application development, and system migrations.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience working as a Linux Systems Engineer within an enterprise environment.
- Advanced proficiency with VMware virtualization and AWS public cloud environments.
- Expertise in enterprise storage solutions, including NFS, iSCSI, and CIFS.
- Strong background in networking, including VLANs, load balancing, DHCP, and DNS.
- Deep understanding of authentication and authorization protocols such as LDAP, Kerberos, and SSO.
- Proven ability to develop with Python and create robust shell scripts.
- Experience managing SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with software development lifecycles, including git, CI/CD tools like Jenkins or Airflow, and API integration.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Linux system administration, including user management, SSH, file systems, and LVM.
- Experience with automation and orchestration tools like Puppet, Ansible, or Terraform.
- A strong commitment to security best practices.
- Fluency in English.
Preferred qualifications
- Industry-recognized certifications such as RHCE, Linux+, NCDA, or VCP.
- An endless curiosity for learning and implementing new technologies.
