We are looking for a dedicated professional to join our team at NAC International in Peachtree Corners, Georgia. As a leader in cask systems and hardware technologies, we focus on providing specialized solutions for the nuclear industry. Our team works closely with regulatory bodies to ensure our projects meet the highest standards of safety and compliance, and we are excited to find someone who can help us maintain that excellence.
What is this role?
We are seeking a Licensing Engineer to join our engineering division on a full-time, on-site basis. This is a mid-level position where you will report directly to the Director of Licensing. Your primary focus will be coordinating the development and maintenance of licensing submittals to ensure our hardware technologies successfully interface with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission and other relevant authorities.
What will you do?
- Manage the preparation and maintenance of critical licensing documentation, including Safety Analysis Reports and various amendment documents.
- Perform detailed quality and accuracy reviews of project plans, specifications, and design drawings to ensure they meet regulatory expectations before submission.
- Prepare formal correspondence and responses for regulatory agencies while overseeing 10 CFR 72.48 determinations to ensure full compliance with federal regulations.
What makes you a great fit?
To succeed in this role, you should be a self-starter who can work independently and communicate effectively. We are looking for the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field.
- At least three years of experience within the nuclear industry, ideally with exposure to NRC activities and familiarity with 10 CFR Part 50, 52, 71, or 72.
- Strong interpersonal and editorial skills, with the ability to write clear, professional documentation and conduct oral presentations in English.
What's in it for you?
By joining our team, you will play a vital role in the success of our transportation and storage systems. We are an Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity Employer, and we pride ourselves on fostering a professional environment where your contributions directly impact our regulatory success. While we have not listed specific financial compensation here, we offer the opportunity to work with a highly specialized team on projects that are essential to the nuclear sector.
