What is this role?
We are looking for a Senior Legal Counsel to join us on a full-time basis. This is a hybrid position based in Portugal, where you will have the flexibility to work from our Lisbon office or remotely from anywhere in the country. In this role, you will act as a primary advisor for our leadership team, helping us navigate complex legal landscapes while supporting our growth as a digital-first organization.
What will you do?
- Provide expert legal guidance to our Managing Directors and internal teams regarding corporate law, data protection, and labor regulations.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts while proactively identifying and mitigating potential legal risks.
- Collaborate closely with our international Legal and Compliance teams to represent the company in legal proceedings and maintain alignment with the broader Mercedes-Benz corporate structure.
What makes you a great fit?
To succeed in this role, you should be a qualified legal professional with a degree in Law and at least 3 years of experience, preferably as in-house counsel or within an international law firm. You must be registered with the Portuguese Bar Association and possess a deep understanding of corporate law, data protection, and labor regulations. We are looking for a proactive communicator who is fluent in English and comfortable explaining complex legal concepts to various stakeholders. An agile mindset and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are essential for thriving in our fast-paced environment.
