We are looking for a Lead UI/UX Designer to join our team on a contract basis. Since our founding in 2007 by the creators of Kali Linux, we have become the leading provider of cybersecurity training and workforce development, helping organizations bridge the infosec talent gap through hands-on, practical learning.
Responsibilities
- Define the overall experience vision for our learning platform to ensure a seamless and engaging journey for our users.
- Establish design principles, standards, and guardrails to maintain a cohesive experience across all touchpoints.
- Act as the primary UX advisor, guiding the organization on best practices to elevate our design standards.
- Design and innovate across our online learning platform, public website, and various collateral materials.
- Continuously optimize existing interfaces to ensure they remain intuitive and evolve alongside user needs.
- Partner with stakeholders to align design efforts with broader business goals and objectives.
- Translate complex technical and business requirements into user-centered design solutions.
- Develop prototypes for new concepts and validate them through testing before full implementation.
- Lead ongoing user research to gather actionable insights that inform your design decisions.
- Take ownership of our design system to ensure it remains current and consistent.
Must-haves
- 3-5 years of experience in a lead UI/UX design role.
- A strong UI design portfolio demonstrating your work.
- Hands-on proficiency with Figma.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Adobe suite, including XD, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
- Deep understanding of usability factors in human-computer interaction.
- Proven ability to conduct and lead user-centered testing sessions.
- A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate and defend design choices.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and detail-oriented skills.
- Fluency in English.
