Lead Technical Writer at Reltio

We are currently looking for a Lead Technical Writer to join our team in India on a full-time, on-site basis.

Key outcomes

• Develop and maintain high-quality documentation for data-driven applications built on our core platform.
• Design and build comprehensive support materials that guide customers throughout their entire lifecycle.
• Collaborate closely with product management and engineering teams to translate complex technical capabilities into clear, accessible content.
• Produce a variety of assets, including user manuals, API references, release notes, and instructional videos.
• Use qualitative and quantitative metrics to measure the impact of your content and drive strategic improvements.
• Manage project estimates and documentation resources effectively while incorporating feedback from internal and external stakeholders.
• Participate in a distributed documentation team, ensuring all work adheres to established editorial standards and review processes.

Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience documenting enterprise web applications for both developers and end-users.
• Deep expertise in creating technical documentation independently within a fast-paced SaaS environment.
• Strong proficiency in DITA/XML structured authoring and associated tools like oXygen XML or XMetal.
• Experience working with Component Content Management Systems (CCMS) such as Heretto, Paligo, or Ixiasoft.
• Solid understanding of cloud computing, networking, and server management technologies.
• Proven ability to conduct customer research and apply feedback to refine content quality.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
• A relevant Bachelor or Master degree, or an equivalent combination of professional experience.
• Familiarity with industry-standard editorial style guides like the Microsoft Writing Style Guide or the Chicago Manual of Style.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience with project tracking software such as JIRA or Confluence.
• Knowledge of code documentation tools like Swagger or JavaDoc.
• Proficiency in video production software or screen capture tools.
• Familiarity with style governance software such as Acrolinx or Grammarly.
• Technical skills in HTML, JavaScript, or DITA Open Toolkit.
• Experience with REST APIs and federated search software.
