Lead Software Engineer at Instnt

We are currently looking for a Lead Software Engineer to help us push the boundaries of what is possible in the financial technology space. You will report directly to our VP of Engineering and collaborate with our talented teams in DevOps, Product Design, QA, and Data Science to deliver high-quality solutions.

What is this role?

This is a full-time, remote position designed for an experienced professional. We are looking for someone with at least six years of relevant experience to take on a leadership role within our engineering department. You will be responsible for driving the technical direction of our backend services and mentoring the team to ensure we continue to grow and succeed together.

What will you do?

• Design, build, and maintain functional APIs and backend services using clean, efficient code.
• Troubleshoot and debug complex features while ensuring our systems remain scalable and secure.
• Mentor fellow engineers by conducting code reviews, sharing your technical expertise, and fostering a collaborative environment.

• Expertise in Python and Django, including dependency management.
• Deep knowledge of AWS serverless architecture and container orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• A solid grasp of Agile methodologies, SQL, and event-driven microservices.
• The ability to translate high-level product requirements into detailed architecture and design specifications.
• Excellent analytical skills and a proactive, problem-solving attitude.
• A bachelor's degree in a relevant field and proficiency in English.
