About the Role
We are seeking a Lead Software Engineer for a full-time position. This role is a unique opportunity to take ownership of critical engineering decisions within a rapidly growing company. You will work on challenging problems that lack predefined solutions, directly impacting the security of our customers and their data. We operate under a hybrid work model, requiring team members to be based in or near our hub cities of San Francisco, San Jose, Denver, Lexington, or New York City, with an expectation of being in the office three days per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop major components of our Data Platform, specifically focusing on the ingestion, transformation, and export of data from various SaaS applications.
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning while guiding the team on best practices and technical architecture.
- Build a seamless and robust customer onboarding experience to drive product adoption and ensure long-term success for our users.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have a strong background in software engineering and a passion for data security. Key qualifications include:
- At least 10 years of professional software engineering experience, including expertise in object-oriented design and data structure design.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Python 3, preferably using frameworks like Django.
- A quality-focused mindset with strong unit testing capabilities and the ability to own the full software development lifecycle.
- Excellent communication skills, both technical and non-technical, to manage project expectations and mentor team members.
- Experience integrating external APIs and a desire to solve complex, innovative technical challenges.
- Additional experience with Django REST Framework, Kubernetes, Google Cloud Platform, and Postgres is highly valued.
Location
This is a hybrid position based in the United States. We are currently looking for candidates located in or willing to work from our hub cities: San Francisco, San Jose, Denver, Lexington, or New York City.
Compensation and Benefits
We believe in rewarding our team for their contributions and supporting their long-term growth. The annual base salary range for this position is $190,000 to $220,000, with final offers determined by your specific experience and qualifications.
