What is this role?

We are seeking a Lead Software Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a senior-level position based in the United States that requires an on-site presence and up to 20% travel. In this role, you will act as both a practitioner and a mentor, shaping our engineering standards while guiding complex projects to successful completion.

What will you do?

• You will guide your team in adopting pragmatic development practices, ensuring that our technical approach meets the client where they are while pushing them toward better methods.
• You will oversee architectural decisions to ensure they align perfectly with product goals and client requirements.
• You will maintain a high standard for production readiness, which includes managing security, scalability, performance, monitoring, and documentation.

We are looking for someone who brings significant experience as a consultant across various industries. You should be comfortable working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and you should be ready to participate in daily client meetings. Key qualifications include:

• Deep proficiency in at least one full tech stack, with a strong interest in becoming fluent across others like Kotlin, Java, TypeScript, React, and Node.
• Proven experience in managing or coaching developers to foster collaboration and boost project productivity.
• A pragmatic mindset when it comes to selecting tools, such as Kubernetes, to solve specific client problems.
• A strong background in improving or establishing a healthy Software Development Lifecycle.
• Excellent communication skills in English, allowing you to effectively manage technical risks and project expectations.
