Vendavo is the premier provider of AI-driven pricing and sales solutions, helping major global B2B companies like Ford and Medtronic modernize their commercial processes. We are looking for an experienced Lead Software Engineer to join our remote team and help us build the next generation of our SaaS commercial excellence platform.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of highly scalable web applications using Node.js and Python.
- Mentor and supervise software engineers while serving as a primary technical point of contact for our products.
- Collaborate with product owners to translate business requirements into actionable user stories and accurate delivery estimates.
- Develop secure, robust APIs and manage data effectively across MySQL and MongoDB.
- Integrate backend systems with React.js frontends.
- Oversee cloud deployments on AWS and manage application packaging using Docker.
- Ensure high code quality through rigorous unit testing, code reviews, and design reviews.
- Operate within an Agile framework to drive efficient project delivery.
Must-haves
- Over 10 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Proven track record as a technical lead with expertise in high-level system design.
- Strong proficiency in Node.js, MySQL, and MongoDB.
- Extensive experience with front-end frameworks, specifically React.js.
- Solid working knowledge of Python and SQL.
- Practical experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, and RDS.
- Deep understanding of Docker for containerization and unit testing frameworks like Jest or Mocha.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in cross-functional, collaborative environments.
- Fluency in English.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience managing and configuring CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins or GitLab.
- Familiarity with container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
- Practical experience working within Scrum or other Agile methodologies.
