What is this role?
We are looking for a Lead Software Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a remote position open to candidates anywhere in the world. As a lead on our platform team, you will be responsible for architecting the systems that power our infrastructure, ensuring that our services remain robust while supporting the millions of users who trade billions of dollars in assets through our platform.
What will you do?
- Lead a talented group of engineers in the design, implementation, and maintenance of the core services that form the foundation of our brokerage platform.
- Write high-quality, well-structured code in Golang, focusing on observability and testing to ensure our systems are reliable and easy to monitor.
- Containerize applications using Docker and design Kubernetes helm charts to manage our deployments effectively.
What makes you a great fit?
To be successful in this role, you should be a strong communicator in English and possess a deep technical background in cloud-native development. We are looking for someone who has the following skills and qualities:
- Extensive hands-on experience with Kubernetes, including a deep understanding of cloud-native objects and the ability to write Helm charts.
- Strong proficiency in Golang or other modern, compiled, statically typed languages, with a focus on concurrent programming and clean abstractions.
- Proven ability to write highly optimized Docker images.
- Experience working with microservices and event-driven architectures, ideally with practical knowledge of Kafka producers and consumers.
- Previous experience in a technical or team leadership capacity.
- A solid understanding of relational databases like Postgres, specifically regarding query optimization for large datasets.
