Our domain search team is looking for an Engineering Lead to join us in building and improving Domain Search at GoDaddy. Domain Search is one of the key strategic pillars of GoDaddy, with a meaningful contribution to the company's revenue, customer growth and innovation. As an Engineering Manager, you will be independently contributing about 50% of your time (so this is a very hands-on role) and you would play a major role in improving the domain search experience, architecture, and analytics across the 42 markets we support worldwide, and the add-on products and advertising we offer when the user searches for a domain:

What you'll get to do...

• Strive to develop, enhance, and optimise exceptional services that empower our internal customers to achieve success
• Own developing tactical execution plans, technology innovation, and selection of the right tools and frameworks, build Sprint backlog and roadmap along with Product & Program Managers, Architects, and leaders
• Drive engineering & operational excellence including automation, quality, efficiency, and productivity. Provide technical mentorship to the team including architecture, design, and code reviews
• Mainly establish a team in India, while also working together with various partners in different time zones
• Owning end-to-end performance of the squad to deliver working, quality code, and artifacts
• Provide inputs to resource requirement plans, skill assessments, and Learning/Development plans for your team members

Your experience should include...

• 5+ years of experience building and shipping customer and/or developer-facing products & services at the Internet scale
• 3+ years of leadership or mentorship  in Engineering
• Strong leadership on both the technology & people sides with rich experience in large-scale data platforms
• You need to have a strong understanding of what constitutes Good, Clean, Testable, and Reliable code and CI/CD artifacts
• Experience in an Agile development environment is helpful
• Experience building and being responsible for the development of highly available distributed systems using cloud technologies is a plus.
• Strong experience in a programming language in Java, Python, Go Lang etc.
• Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, software designs, micro services, and cloud computing
