About the role

With trust and security at the heart of our product, we’re looking for a Lead Security Engineer to take ownership of our security strategy and execution during this critical phase of growth.

You’ll be the go-to person for all things security: from infrastructure and application security to incident response, security tooling, and risk management. Working cross-functionally with Engineering, Product, and Compliance, you’ll establish a security roadmap, assess our current posture, and implement impactful improvements across our platform.

You’ll lead key initiatives such as maturing our crypto self-custody product security, improving our detection and response capabilities, and ensuring we meet financial-grade compliance expectations (e.g., DORA, PSI). Your impact will be felt company-wide as you foster a strong internal security culture, educate teams, and introduce lightweight, scalable processes.

This is a high-ownership, high-impact role. You’ll report directly to the VP of Engineering and work closely with the CEO, CPO, VP of Ops, and external security partners (e.g., Aikido, HackerOne, CrowdStrike).

You’d Be a Great Fit If You

• Have previously held roles like Lead Security Engineer, Security Engineering Manager, or Head of Security in a startup or scale-up

• Are hands-on and thrive in an IC role with real impact

• Have experience maturing an existing security program - not just greenfield work

• Are fluent in GCP security concepts (IAM, Workload Identity, network security, etc.)

• Are comfortable leading cross-functional projects with Engineering and Product

• Communicate clearly, both written and verbally, across technical and non-technical teams

• Have experience in incident detection and response

• Take ownership and bring composure under pressure

Bonus Points If You

• Have worked with bug bounty platforms or managed coordinated disclosures

• Are familiar with DevSecOps and secure SDLC practices

• Know frameworks like ISO 27001, SOC2, or DORA

• Have experience in regulated fintech environments

• Are passionate about personal finance
